A shit-load of exclamation marks!

SCREAM!!!!!

You just want to scream at something – really anything at all;

you just want to scream at someone – really anyone at all

You want to shout to make God pay heed and listen;

you want to shout till your voice echoes in His great hall

But in the end, you just scream at yourself;

banging your own head against the silent wall

CRUSH!!!!!

You just want to crush something – really anything at all;

you just want to crush someone – really anyone at all

You want to rub every face raw into the grounded glass;

they may beg mercy or on their stomach they may crawl

But in the end, you just crush your own spirit;

breathing your last, and unable to pay the toll

DESTROY!!!!!

You just want to destroy something – really anything at all;

you just want to destroy someone – really anyone at all

You want to scorch every living cell into grey sodden ash;

they all well deserve their punishment after all

But in the end, you just destroy yourself;

shattering into oblivion, and feeling so small

HATE!!!!!

You just want to hate something – really anything at all;

you just want to hate someone – really anyone at all

You want to hate till your hate fills all the voids;

they are all to be detested, you want to hate them all

But in the end, you just hate your own self;

your ego breaking into pieces, your pride suffers a fall

KILL!!!!!

You just want to kill something – really anything at all;

you just want to kill someone – really anyone at all

You want to kill till there is nothing more to kill;

the victims may beg or they may pathetically bawl

But in the end, you just kill your own self;

the blood flowing black, amidst the regret that you haul

God’s Breakable Toys

a broken doll

What if everything we believe about right and wrong, love and hate, and heaven and hell, is just an elaborate lie we tell ourselves to feel significant?

A provocative philosophical poem structured as a series of “what if” questions that systematically dismantle fundamental human beliefs about existence, morality, choice, and emotion.

What if there is no eternity, there is no heaven or hell?

What if there are no consequences, good or bad, at all?

The guilt is just a loathsome burden, a rotten, stinking smell,

while life is just a dream, no ups or downs, big or small

What if there is no choice, there is no right or wrong?

What if there are no options, left or right, at all?

Life is just the time, singing a long, sad song,

while fate sits smiling, and quietly rules all

What if there is no color, there is no black or white?

What if there are no shades, dark or light, at all?

Life is just reflections, a kaleidoscope made right,

while our dreams are just dancing shadows on a wall

What if there is no feeling, there is no love or hatred?

What if there are no emotions, anger, or fear at all?

We are all just great actors, holding our roles sacred,

while each act promptly happens on the director’s call

What if there is no change, there is no sadness or joys?

What if there are no upheavals, high or low, at all?

We are all just God’s property, His breakable toys,

played with, and tossed aside, in His great hall

The Gospel of the Eyes (previously, its all in the eyes)

All eyes tell stories - this poem listens to them all.

In the eyes, everything can be found,

and I see eyes everywhere and all around

Happy and sad, and also good and bad eyes

tired and watchful, and hungry and soulful eyes

Lustful and virtuous, and dreaming and tempestuous eyes,

eyes that evade, and eyes that stare into other eyes

________________________________________________

Eyes that are happy in their forgetfulness,

gold, women, and the laughter of children,

sedated by the fulfillment of petty dreams

And eyes that are sad in their knowingness,

death, old age, and the torture of loneliness,

confronted by reality when maturity screams

________________________________________________

Eyes that are awake in their mindfulness,

virtue, religion, and the seduction of charity,

attracted by heaven or the morality within

And eyes that are asleep in their sinfulness,

wealth, selfishness, and lust for the world,

numbing their hearts, each loss and each win

________________________________________________

Eyes that are tired in their exasperation,

poverty, destitution, and the pangs of hunger,

numb and dull, when madness brims over

And eyes that are watchful in their enragement,

injustice, genocide, and the horrors of war,

stopped by helplessness when frustration takes over

________________________________________________

Hungry eyes with their constantly begging needs,

power, money, and the sultriness of status,

entangled in webs of silver and gold

And soulful eyes in their mournful creeds,

ethics, morality, and the concept of social justice,

entwined in philosophies, contradictory and bold

________________________________________________

Lustful eyes with their passionately burning promises,

murmurs, whispers, and the fragility of assurances,

lighted, lived, and extinguished over a single night

And virtuous eyes with their polished hypotheses,

conscience, belief, and the solidness of integrity,

drafted and nullified just after a single fight

________________________________________________

Dreaming eyes with their dark, forbidden fantasies,

caprice, obscenity, and the call of devilishness,

darkened and colored by unfulfilled desires

Tempestuous eyes with their guilt-ridden ecstasies,

sex, alcohol, and the lure of dominance,

emboldened and driven by unheard cries

________________________________________________

In the eyes, everything can be found,

and I see eyes everywhere and all around

My eyes, your eyes, smiling and frowned,

eyes of the chaotic masses, countless and abound

Eyes that are bewildered, and eyes that astound,

eyes that are deceived, and eyes that confound
