The sweet sad place, where elephants go to die

Where is that sweet sad place?

lost forever in time and space,

where elephants go to die?

Where is that dark warm womb?

devoid of all life, it’s really a tomb,

where worries come to rest?

Worries, which were once silent.

Raging tentacles, cruel and violent,

my worries, are screaming now.

Where is that sweet sad place?

lost forever in time and space,

where elephants go to die?

Where is that desolation of heart?

no rains, the clouds do not part,

where dead love rests forever?

Memories, which were once colourful.

Haunting dead eyes, dull and dreadful,

my memoires, only skeletons now.

Where is that sweet sad place?

lost forever in time and space,

where elephants go to die?

Where is that deep black hole?

not a hole, but a mine of coal,

where guilt is buried eternally?

The guilt, which used to be a stranger.

A horse called Diablo, without  a ranger,

Guilt, a menacing presence now.

Where is that sweet sad place?

lost forever in time and space,

where elephants go to die?

The dead grey stare,

the evil far,

yet somewhere here.

I look for salvation,

the damnation far,

yet somewhere near.

I scream and I mumble,

my fear naked and bare.

I run and I stumble.

I run to find that sweet sad place,

lost forever in time and space,

where elephants go to die.
