So dark is my soul!

dark-soul-3-artwork

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

That angels borrow ink,

to write my own sins;

And light shies away,

to avoid corruption

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

I can hear my own guilt,

singing cold lullabies

Pushing me off precipices,

to a shattering and frozen end

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

I can hear my own sins,

whispering their mad mantra

Smothering my conscience,

to a suffocating end

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

I can feel my own fears,

screaming their banshee screams

Choking my weakening resolve,

to a pitifully miserable end

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

When kindness is just an excuse,

to avoid eternal salvation;

And virtue is just a facade,

to hide all the demons

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

When love is just an attempt,

to survive a bit longer;

And sacrifice is just a strategy,

to overcome desires

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark

When humility is a disguise,

to hide the cold arrogance;

And compassion, but a weakness,

and a selfish pleasure

So dark is my soul,

it is so damn dark
