We are all dreaming the Same Fucking Dream

Different lives, but the same hunger, the same corruption, and the same ending.

__________________________

We are all dreaming the same fucking dream,

endless desires, with lust as the main theme

Born in the lap of fate, we aim to rise so high,

we laugh at each gain; on each misery we cry

Greed rules our hearts, neither love nor faith,

into the darkness we dwell, like a sniveling wreath

__________________________

We are all dreaming the same fucking dream,

pursuits are the same, different they may seem

Our journeys start with ambition, blood, and sweat,

our baggage is so heavy, all remorse and just regret

Our birth is by chance, but our death is so sure,

we praise the lofty God with hearts so impure

__________________________

We are all dreaming the same fucking dream,

gold, women, and land, we all hail, we all scream

Betrayals are abundant, and loyalty is so very rare,

blindly following the devil without any apparent care

It’s the sin that we seek and the virtue that we reject,

in the end, it’s just guilt; it’s all that we collect

__________________________

We are all dreaming the same fucking dream,

the purpose of life we forget, this we cannot redeem

That we have to hold hands, we have to serve others,

yet we kick the dog, ignoring that we are brothers

That we are all the same spirit, we are all part of God,

the system is all perfect, but the users are all flawed

Where is My Home?

“A gypsy searching for a forsaken tribe, a vagabond cursed to wander—this is the cry of everyone who’s ever felt they don’t belong.” A haunting, repetitive verse exploring the deep human need for belonging through the metaphor of homelessness—both physical and spiritual. The poem’s refrain “Where is my home and where I am going to sleep?” echoes through various landscapes—deserts, wastelands, bustling towns, and silent valleys—as the narrator confronts regret, shame, desire, guilt, and lost faith.

Where is my home, and where am I going to sleep?

What have I sown and how am I going to reap?

Do I find it in the blistering and thirsty wilderness,

me and my regretful tears, in all bitterness?

Or is it in the blindingly white and icy wastelands,

me and my shame, my trembling and shaking hands?

___________________________________________________

Where is my home, and where am I going to sleep?

What have I sown and how am I going to reap?

Do I find it in the bustling and noisy towns,

me and desires, lust, and greed wearing their thorny crowns?

Or is it in the vast and silent valleys,

my faith and I, destined to walk in separate alleys?

___________________________________________________

Where is my home, and where am I going to sleep?

What have I sown and how am I going to reap?

Do I find it near the Tomb of the Lonely Saint,

me and my deceit, friends and partners, yet quaint?

Or is it shrouded within the ashes of a dead volcano,

me and my guilt, my arch nemesis, as we know?

___________________________________________________

Where is my home, and where am I going to sleep?

What have I sown and how am I going to reap?

I am a gypsy in search of my long-forsaken tribe,

without my people, I am dead, as written by the scribe

I am a vagabond at heart, forever lost and eternally cursed,

though in case of self-hatred, I am quite well-versed

Love, Greed and the Elephants’ Graveyard

After a full day of rain in Africa, the sun goes down, hiding behind the majestic purple clouds. The clouds, in turn, gradually disperse to reveal a bluish-black and velvet night sky. It is adorned with small glittering sequins - stars both big and small and stars both near and far.

Whenever it rains in Africa and the night grows dark, the elders sit around the crackling fire, and the children and young people gather around. If the elders are kind and in a good mood, they tell stories of the days gone by and the days that are still far away in the future. Myth and history make love under the night sky, and stories are born - stories of magic and wisdom and stories of love and longing. On one such magical night, the story of the elephants’ graveyard breathed its first.

Where is that Sweet, Sad Place where Elephants go to Die?

elephant-kenya-340364

A journey into the mythic graveyard of memories, guilt, and dreams that refuse to die.

________________________________________

Where is that sweet and sad place,

perhaps lost forever in both time and space,

upon the brazen earth and under the grey sky,

where elephants go to die?

Strength and might sometimes fail,

in the face of raging fire, rain and hail

Failure exhausts the strongest of souls,

when we repeatedly fail to achieve our goals

________________________________________

Where is that dark and cold womb,

devoid of all life, it’s really a tomb,

when one fails each challenge and test,

where worries finally come to rest?

Worries, which were once peacefully silent,

but now extending their tentacles, cruel and violent

My worries are not making a submissive bow,

my worries are kicking and screaming now

________________________________________

Where is that vast desolation of heart,

where the sun never shines as the clouds do not part,

where all of us are destined to be, the fools and the clever,

where dead love breathes its last and rests forever?

Memories, which were once pretty and colourful,

but now have haunting eyes, dull and dreadful

Memories are not compelling me to make a new vow,

my memories, are dead and only skeletons now

________________________________________

Where is that unfathomably deep, black hole,

which silences all greed, and the dreams it once stole,

where regrets crawl and plead infernally,

where guilt is finally dead and is buried eternally?

Guilt, once a rare acquaintance and even a stranger,

it was a horse called Diablo, without a ranger

My guilt is watching me with a frowned brow,

my guilt is a monster, a menacing presence now

________________________________________

I fear their accusations, their dead, hollow stare,

the evil was afar, yet somewhere close here

I loathe their presence and hold onto my spear,

the damnation was afar, yet somewhere so near

My anguish and my fear, I scream and I mumble,

my agony and my dread, I run and I stumble

I scream and I run, I make a final try,

to reach that place where elephants go to die

The Life and Times of a Box of Chocolates (Previously, Love & Chocolates)

Un cuore nel cioccolato

The rise and fall of desire, told through a box of chocolates.

There is nothing more enchanting,

than a full box of chocolates

There is nothing more satisfying,

and there is nothing more ecstatic

There is nothing more elating,

and there is nothing more fantastic

There is no bigger blessing,

than a full box of chocolates

__________________________________

When the box is full,

it is a box filled with dreams

In every little bite,

the taste of chocolate and creams

When the box is full,

it is a box filled with love

In every colored wrapper,

flavor enfolded within a delicious glove

__________________________________

When the box is full,

it makes you richer than the richest

Exploring all the candies,

becomes better than a quest

When the box is full,

it makes you very blessed

Savoring each flavor,

is an experience, better than the best

__________________________________

Then your greed takes over,

and the box starts getting empty

Bit by bit, and piece by piece,

it goes away, and it was quite plenty

Each piece of candy,

is one step closer to bliss

Each opened wrapper,

reminds you of a lover’s kiss

__________________________________

You lick your fingers,

you lick them again and again

You swirl your tongue,

the pleasure is wild and insane

You get addicted to the candies,

the creams and the flavors

You get obsessed with the pleasure,

the chocolates become soul savers

__________________________________

To make the chocolates stay,

you keep the box closed

You even hide it away,

trying to remain composed

You harness all your patience,

you keep your urge in check

You smile at your complacency,

but your determination is a wreck

Then the greed attacks again,

and your hands wander close

Your desire rekindles and takes over,

and caution, thither it goes

You take one, you take two,

and then you take the final bit

You blow caution to the wind,

the box is finally empty, and you also quit

There is nothing more tragic

and there is nothing more depressing

There is nothing more saddening,

and there is nothing more maddening

There is no bigger dilemma,

than an empty box of chocolates
